Located in Arlington, VA, Shoals Capital Management is an investment adviser who intends to manage a pool of institutional and high net worth funds, specifically focused on financials and real estate. Their hope is that Shoals will serve as a leading thought provider and investment manager in the financial sector space, with a relatively small but consistent staple of long-term investors as clients.
Shoals’ work will include a comprehensive research process with a seasoned investment team that focuses on thematic investment opportunities that should provide superior returns regardless of the market cycle. The investment team spends a lot of time understanding regulatory and political changes that will impact heavily regulated industries such as banks and insurance companies, and use that knowledge to find opportunities driven by non-economic factors.
